Summary: Great fun, lots of mutants
Want more Wolverine? You got it. Want more mutants? Okay, we got that too. The special effects for Nightcrawler are amazing. There's even a brief shot featuring Colossus, but just barely. Rogue continues to be tantalizing, it should be interesting to see her as an adult mutant... after all, they're planning on three more sequels. I mean geez, why not? There's tons of material to explore here. The storyline wasn't the strongest, but was entertaining nonetheless, especially as they explored Wolverine's origins. The special effects and fight scenes really make the movie worthwhile though. |

Summary: A worthy sequel
This sequel to the original X-Men movie is a worthy successor. We get to see the same characters we had in the last one, plus a few more get introduced. There are plenty of great effects, of course, and the action is good and all that, but the pacing seemed kind of odd to me, and the movie just never quite made it over the line from great to amazing. Also, I would have liked to have seen more of Patrick Stewart. But it was definitely worth catching on opening night. |

Summary: Outstanding | |
This one rolls along without missing a beat. Fun from start to finish and a great ending. Without trying to spoil too much, this one evokes memories of Empire Strikes Back or Star Trek II. Everything that you want in a middle sequel, but you will need to see the first one to really get into the second. |
