Summary: Outrageously funny and obscene.
I caught this at a bargain matinee although it's worth the full price. The Wayans brothers were hilarious in "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" and their style of humor continues here. In this flick they poke fun at a variety of recent horror movies, especially "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Even the cast looks the same, although they're different; they capture the essence of horror movie victims pretty well.

More than that, though, they pull off some outrageous and obscene stunts, not gross enough to be disturbing, but funny enough that it makes you laugh and cheer. A lot of the gimmicks in the film were pretty daring, but hey, you got an R rating, you might as well USE it! And they sure did it. Of course, most of the audience was kids anyway, but that's just typical of parents today.

They actually did such a great job with the movie that I consider one of the best movies this year. (Part of that is due to there being a lack of totally excellent / perfect movies this year.)

Summary: Saw it for free, and it wasn't worth the money
My job (at the time) paid for all of us to go see a matinee of this movie. Frankly, I almost would have rather stayed behind and read the web and played nethack; the drug jokes just weren't funny, the T & A weren't good enough to make up for the inanity, the sexual humor was more gross than anything else, and the jokes had a bad case of Saturday Night Live 'beating a decayed horse' syndrome. I can't believe that enough people liked this movie that they made Scary Movie 2.
