Summary: Exciting movie but lots of plot holes.
So Superman faces Zod who escapes the Phantom Zone and tracks him down. In the ensuing battle, they tear up half of Metropolis, and though they don't show it, thousands must have died with all those buildings being torn down. Some images were disturbingly reflective of images from 9/11 which really wasn't cool. No Lex Luthor in this one, although there were some signs of Lexcorp. And the movie kept flashing back to various periods in Superman's troubled childhood, where apparently he was bullied. How would that even be possible? And Lois Lane trivially finds out who Superman is by traveling the continent and some how backtracking all of his associates. I don't know, story-wise, it wasn't put together very well. The action scenes were pretty impressive though. And the ending was a bit weird as well.
