Summary: Inspired by the comic, it has something to do with Ghost Rider
Clearly Cage has wanted to play the role of comic book hero for a while, but after being turned down for Superman (really, he's too old), he gets picked for Ghost Rider. Somehow though, his character is far older than this sweetheart from his youth. How'd that happen? The plot is ridiculous; Cage basically just discovers he's Ghost Rider and immediately assumes all of the powers and abilities without any practice or concern. The bad guys are devils fighting against other devils, over some contract that controls a bunch of souls that turn out to be no good for the devil anyway. Ridiculous. It was neat seeing Henry Fonda in the role of Mephistopholes; it would have been better to see Fonda on a bike, though. The lighting is very dark most of the time; easy to hide problems with costume and special effects with an abundance of shadow and dark. The rest of the effects are just flames. The story doesn't make any sense most of the time. You probably should give this movie a pass unless there's really nothing else on.
