This movie had a lot of good things going for it: first of all, it's Pixar, which rarely if ever misses; they have a decent subject (even if they did go a bit overboard with the anti-interstate stuff); and they got pretty much all the car and racing details dead on (e.g., The King is an exact replica of Richard Petty's 1970 car, and the King's accident near the end is a recreation of one of his accidents).
However, the plot will not surprise anyone over the age of 12, pretty much. So, a good entertaining movie, but it doesn't really have the right combination to make it a great movie.
