Thomas Jane? He's alright. But the story was something else. Inspired to fight crime after the death of his wife and son, no wait, that's enough, let's kill his father (nice cameo by Roy Scheider), his aunt and uncle, his nephews and nieces, his cousins, their families... okay, now let's have him walk away from a shot in the chest by a large caliber handgun. What?
Meanwhile, John Travolta plays the same bad character he's played in four other movies, with the same hair, personality, and accent. Isn't that getting a little old? Travolta's completely wasted here. Glad I didn't pay to see this in the theater. It was okay for watching on cable but not great. |
