Summary: A decent adventure film featuring Goldberg. | |
Jean Claude van Damme returns, this time as a senior consultant to a high tech DoD contractor firm that is building the newest generation of universal soldier, cybernetically enhanced corpses that are absolute killing machines. Things go awry when a general comes into town to shut things down due to budgetary constraints, and the sentient supercomputer running the lab takes over and directs the super soldiers to defend the lab. Bill Goldberg, a big star from WCW, plays the role of one of the toughest universal soldiers. He does an excellent job of it, too. Sadly, van Damme is starting to show his age, and he can't fight as well as he used to. |

Summary: A great movie | |
Despite what a lot of people who saw this movie think, I reckon Universal Soldeir: The Return is an excellent movie. The action is good, with Jean-Claude Van Damme at his best. This movie also stars the ever popular World Championship Wrestling superstar Goldberg, who portrays the charecter of Romeo, the most toughest of the Universal soldiers, and although he probably wouldn't recieve an academy award for his performace, he did a great job for his debut film. At his work place, a DoD contracting firm, when the government decides to shut it down, the super computer, S.E.T.H goes beserk, and then commands his soldiers to protect the firm. Van Damme has to stop this computer, before it's too late, but also has to get past the tough Romeo (Goldberg) and the rest of the Universal Soldiers. I loved this movie. I recommend you see it, even though most others think otherwise. |
