Summary: An all-black undercover detective story.
This is a very stereotypical movie about a cop who goes undercover and is undercover so long that he forgets who he is. Unfortunately the script is written so poorly that it's hard very hard to believe. There's just no sense that the character is ever losing his identity, or losing his mind. One scene he's undercover, next he's talking to his captain, now he's undercover, now he's taking a college class. And he develops, if develop qualifies here, a relationship with a nude model in one of his classes, because after she says she never dates students, she immediately then dates him. It's all bullshit, really. The only bright side is that LL Cool J plays the bad guy, and does a damn fine job of it. He's 2 for 2 this Summer, and I expect him to have a good future.
