| Usually I can't stand Reese Witherspoon, after her sickening role in "Election". But she brings an amazing charm, irony, and wit to this role that probably couldn't have been pulled off by most other actresses. The movie is very funny in many places, and manages to hold itself together with a decent script, unlike 90% of the other movies out this year. Actually the movie was such a success that there are now talks to bring out a TV comedy series based on the movie, perhaps next year (reminds me of Clueless).
