Summary: Needs humor-- Jet Li needs to lighten up. | |
This is a typical Jet Li film-- very serious, very good martial arts, but lacking in humor and light parts. He tries so hard to take everything so seriously, like Chow Yun Fat, but even Chow knows to lighten up occasionally. Bridget Fonda is miserable in this movie, her role is a whiny, helpless drug-addict victim.
The good parts are the fight scenes, and there are plenty of them. But it's not enough to carry the film. |
