Summary: Errors in Marketing
When I saw the ads and the trailers for Loser, I was expecting to see a comedy. It was presented as a comedy. It had comedic spots. It made everyone assume it was supposed to be funny.

But it wasn't. (Okay, misspelling "aid" at the end and no one in the audience noticing was funny. Ha ha ha, all those people in the audience can't read that fast.)

No, Loser is not a comedy. It's a romance. It should have been a chick flick, and had they adjusted the script a bit, it would have been a much better romance. Instead we have a romance frequently interrupted by bursts of stupidity.

Stupidity is not funny. Oh, people think it's funny, with the success of Dumb and Dumber, or There's Something About Mary, but most of the time, like here, stupidity is not funny, it's just stupid.

I wasn't upset with the movie. It was okay as a romance, feel-good, date-flick. I was just expecting something completely different.
