Goldeneye A 11/18 7:30pm Secaucus Pierce Brosnan stars as James Bond in the first 007 movie in far too many years. This is an explosive hit that is just completely over-packed with action scenes and stunts. Brosnan does a splendid job as James Bond, and the supporting cast of friends and foes is all played quite well. The character of Bond is extremely chauvinistic and remains true to all of his traditional actions and personality. This is a movie people have been waiting for since Roger Moore quit; finally it is here, and does not disappoint. Copycat B 11/21 7:30pm Secaucus Holly Hunter stars as an inspector in the SanFran Homicide department, investigating a serial killer who, it turns out, is haunting this professor who has done years and years of research into serial killers but now lives in fear of going outside after a bad experience with one a year ago. Anyhow Holly Hunter really steals the show with her perky, tough girl character that is a very smart investigator and experienced cop. It's an exciting film, but not very mysterious. Also, there are far too many bloody, gory shots of dead people in the film... as if the director's goal is to gross you out. Why bother? Money Train C 11/22 7:30 Secaucus Wesley Snipes fails to save this movie. His co-star, Woody Harrelson, plays his idiot adopted brother who always gets in trouble, suffering a dumb gambling addiction and a poor sense of ethics. The movie's about these two undercover transit cops and the really exciting chase scenes you can have on the subway. But the screenplay really sucked. The lowest point of the film is where they showed the sex scene between Snipes and the female interest with shots intermingled of Woody getting beat up by the gambling people after he lost the $15,000 Wesley gave him to get him out of that mess. Almost walked out right there, but the movie did have a few exciting fight and chase scenes. Toy Story A 11/24 6pm Secaucus What appears to be the first computer animated movie turns out to be a classic Disney film. They did an excellent job of putting together a nice story, great characterization, humor, and all without shoving morality down our throats. This is the first rated-G film I've actually really liked in many years. The story's about these toys who, ah, fret about a new toy being loved more than they are, and getting displaced. It's not very important compared to the actual storytelling.
