Donnie Brasco A- 3/7/1997 9:30pm Secaucus In this pretty decent movie about the mob, a young FBI agent finds himself drawn deep into the works of the business thanks to be sponsored by one of the older and more senior members. Loosely based on a true story, it turns out to be fairly interested just how convinced the mob is that this young kid is one of them. Johnny Depp and Al Pacino star. Return of the Jedi (Special Edition) A 3/18/1997 8pm Secaucus Again, an excellent remastering of a classic. We find here slightly improved sound and special effects, as well as a few extra scenes, most notably in the palace of Jabba the Hut, where the musical number is extended. Another thing done in these special editions is the exercise of computer generated images to make the star fighters swoosh overhead in a way that the previous plastic models could not. This movie leaves you anxiously awaiting the three new Star Wars movies that are supposed to be coming out any year now. The Devil's Own B 3/29/1997 7pm Secaucus Harrison Ford plays an irish cop who takes on a young man, played by Brad Pitt, thinking him a refugee from Northern Ireland. In reality, he turns out to be a freedom fighter, who is temporarily staying in the U.S. to handle an arms deal. Unfortunately, the deal goes bad and everyone comes after him. It's a decent crime drama, with an original plot, but it's a very long movie that didn't need to be long.
