First Strike B 1/11/1997 5:30pm Paramus Jackie Chan returns in a cute, dubbed, martial arts flick. He doesn't exactly kick ass in this own though, as he spends much of his time defending himself against groups of bad guys. It could be fun to rent on video though. Turbulence B 1/17/1997 8pm Secaucus A stewardess ends up on a plane with a psycho serial killer who manages to break free from his guards, kill them, kill several other passengers, kill the pilots, take the rest of the passengers hostage, leaving her to fight it out with him. Meanwhile, the plane flies on autopilot though a category five storm that somehow has managed to find its way to the middle of the country, over Utah/Colorado. Metro B+ 1/21/1997 8pm Secaucus Eddie Murphy plays a cop in a good, but not great, crime drama. It's not particularly memorable for anything. Beverly Hills Ninja C- 1/24/1997 9:30pm Secaucus Chris Farley plays a really bad ninjitsu student in his usual fat, dumb guy role role. There's lots of visual gags and spoofs of other ninja films, but it really isn't all that funny. It reminds you in a way that Saturday Night Live has also sucked for several years.
