Summary: This is below average for Will Smith.
Will Smith stars as a lawyer that gets caught up in an NSA cover-up that results in the spooks screwing up his life and coming after him with a mountain of new technology (except for 80's-era infrared cameras). This has him running like mad until he hooks up with a retired spook who's now an anti-spook, played by Gene Hackman, who does a good job of it. The NSA hackers are overly stereotypical and the storyline is almost a carbon copy of the "The Net", so they certainly didn't score points for originality. |

Summary: Actionish | |
Kind of a limp action movie. Will Smith is decent, Gene Hackman is walking through this, and I can't remember anyone else who was in the movie or what happened in it. And I just saw this like a week ago. |

Summary: Action+paranoia=enjoyment
If the characters hadn't been superhumanly stupid, I probably would have really enjoyed this one.
As it was, I enjoyed the explosions, and it had no big weaknesses, but it just wasn't great. |

Summary: loud, well done, brainless
This was a well crafted movie with not much in the way of brains. In fact, parts of it are downright stupid. Made me want to see The Conversation, though, which is an A movie. |
