Summary: Can't sleep? Try watching this. | |
Al Pacino sleepwalks through this miserable performance as a detective imported from RHD/LA. By odd coincidence, Michael Mann, creator of Miami Vice and Heat, which had Pacino as a cop in RHD/LA, is now making a Friday night cop drama for next Fall called... er, "RHD/LA". Hmm.
ANYWAY, here, he's imported by the Alaskans to investigate a murder and is led on a chase by a pretty twisted killer (Robin Williams, trying hard to be serious). Swank plays one of the alaskan cops, impressed by Pacino's character's record. Whee. As an added bonus, Tierney ("ER") runs an inn he's staying at. The main character can't sleep for days due to the stress of the case and the 24-hour daylight. But you'll have no problem sleeping through this. |
