Summary: Doesn't live up to the original, but certainly tries very, very hard.
This movie is full of special effects, blood, gore, disgusting vampires, severe action, great fight scenes, and lots of Wesley Snipes kicking ass. So where did it go wrong? I think part of the problem is that the Blade character is unstoppable force at this point-- there was never a serious challenge for him. That and you never knew for sure who the good and bad guys were, people kept switching sides. Also, there was too much emphasis on being disgustingly gory, that was a little distracting. I guess a lot of the blame goes to the story and screenplay, it just didn't play as well as the first movie. I didn't feel like cheering as much. I just wasn't that impressed.
