Summary: An excellent sequel.
This movie has all the same fun and excitement as the original. Great special effects, action scenes, humor-- similar to Indian Jones films of the 80's, but with the addition of modern special effects and computer-generated armies.

The Rock had practically no lines, and was only marginally in the film-- his billing was mostly hype.

Summary: LOVED IT
I loved the first one, i loved the second one, and i loved the scorpion king. Although i love brendon fraiser the second one was the better than the first, adding the rock in there and them having a child was wonderful. The plot was wonderful and i was on the edge of my seat the whole time, Who could have known Eve would die, the best movie. the only thing i regret was the scorpion king, he was TO fake, you could tell he was computer animated and i think they could have done better.

Summary: Dammit
I was really looking forward to this, too. What is it about Hollywood that they never seem able to produce a decent sequel?

In "The Mummy", we had several characters, who, granted, were stereotypes, but they were interesting stereotypes and they played well together. You had the dashing adventurer guy, the bookish librarian, the drunk comic-relief brother. In "The Mummy Returns", you have one character played by three actors. Everyone in this film is in top physical condition, skilled in martial arts, and utterly knowledgeable about everything Egyptian. You could hand any line to any of them and end up with the same result. OK, enough about that.

Then there's the little kid. Resorting to cute little kids is a common practice of flagging television sitcoms, and it works just about as well here.

Then there's the Big Gay Flying Boat Ride. That's about when I realized this movie was unredeemable.

the first movie sucked, and this movie didnt have anything in it to make it better than the first, created a side story like the scorpion king didnt help either..when will they ever give up... dont they realise their movies suck, apart from that the mummy idea (IDEA) is pretty cool, just need to see them create a good movie with a mummy in it
