James Spader plays a drug-addicted cop who suffers from intense migraine headaches who's leading an FBI investigation against a pesky (and supposedly talented, but not really) serial killer (Reeves). The movie portrays the other FBI agents extremely well, which is a relief, but the whole drug addiction thing seemed totally over the top and unnecessary. The suspense was pretty good, but there just didn't seem to be a whole lot to the movie... if they had replaced the stupid drug and psychologist scenes with some more detective work, it would have been better. We are also treated to some great views of downtown Chicago. |
