Summary: Slow, slurred movie with a few cute scenes.
De Niro unfortunately plays a guy with a stroke, causing him to mumble most of his lines, making it hard to understand what he's saying, and making it also hard to really care about anything said in this movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a drag queen who befriends De Niro's character. Frankly Hoffman is a talented actor and I'd love to see him in a non-queer role someday. The movie is long, dull, and incomprehensible most of the time. There are few good points though, here and there, amusing tidbits... what you'd expect with high-caliber actors trapped in a horrible plot.
