Summary: The fun part was all the cameos. | |
The movie itself was pretty fun overall. Kids today won't remember who these characters are, and thus won't appreciate the humor and style of the film, and that's unfortunate. But what are ya gonna do?
The animation is much like that in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and the physical interaction between the human cast and the virtual characters wasn't very well done, but the lines and conversation were just fine. Technically though, it wasn't anything to brag about. On the plus side is Robert DeNiro's performance as Fearless Leader. He's a riot, and he was obviously enjoying himself far too much. He should do more comedy. What really saves the film though is the cameos. Every time you turn around, there's another one of your favorite Hollywood stars in a cameo role. Janeane Garofalo, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg... plus many more that would make quite a list. Watching for them all was great fun. |
