Summary: A rehash-- more of the same.
The graphics may be a little better, but overall this is movie is very similar to the first one. Woody discovers he is part of an old family of toys and decides to join them in a museum when his boy no longer wants to play with him because he's old and broken. There's a few tear-jerker scenes in the film, which is sweet I guess. Plus there's the comic interest of a second Buzz Lightyear and Buzz's arch-enemy toy. Overall it's pretty good, but not very original. |

Summary: Better than the original
This movie does a good job of not falling into the usual sequel trap, and introduces new characters at the same time as it fleshes out a number of the lesser characters from the first movie. Plus, the puppy scene at the very beginning ties into the end of the first movie very well. The graphics are even better, and overall it's just a better movie than the first one, which impressed the hell out of me. |
